Azuki のライセンス

はじめに

Azuki は zlib ライセンスの下で無償かつ無保証にて提供されます。 詳細はこの後に続くライセンスの条文（英語のみ）を参照してください。

ですがその前に。 ライセンスを読まないで良いというわけではありませんが、 Azuki を使ったソフト「Hoge」を作った場合に発生する制限について FAQ 形式でポイントをいくつか挙げておきます。

問１） 商用ソフトでは使えない？

答）いいえ。商用でもフリーでも自由に使えます。

問２） Hoge にも同じライセンスを適用しなければならない？

答） いいえ。Azuki を使って作ったソフトが同じライセンスを適用する必要はありません。 商用でもフリーでも、ご自身のソフトには自由にライセンスを適用してください。

問３） Hoge のソースコードを公開しなければならない？

答） いいえ。Azuki のライセンスはソースコードの公開を要求しません。 もちろん公開しても良いですが、公開しなくても問題ありません。

問４） Azuki を使っていることをヘルプなどで公開しなければならない？

答） いいえ。公開の義務はありません。 気にせず自由に使ってください。 なお、もちろん使ったことを連絡していただけば作者は喜びます。 :)

問５） じゃあ結局、何の制限があるの？

答） おおざっぱに言えば「著者を偽ること」、 著者以外の人が「Azuki を作ったのは私です」と主張することを禁じています。 これは Azuki のユーザに迷惑をかけないためです。 たとえば、Azuki をそのままコピーしたものが別人の著作物「Azuki」として公開されてしまうと、 事情を知らない第三者は非常に混乱します。 Azuki のライセンスの制約は、こうした状況が起こるのを防止するためにあります。
